Nonverbal Communication
Body ********
How can a person communicate with others? There are
many ways for communication, words the first one many ways for communication,
words the first one but there is also nonverbal communication, such as: eye
contact, body posture, head and facial expressions, the quality of the voice, touch
and gesture, and silence
Nonverbal communication has power, wealth influence and control over
people you’re ever wanted. So, it has many terms such as: body ********,
kinesics, sign ******** or perspective communication. All these terms are
identical and used.
Nonverbal communication has some points to show how important it is
:
Nonverbal communication is continuous. Words come one at a time, on the
contrary; nonverbal clues continuously for a long as a person as in your presence.
Second, nonverbal communication is rich in meaning, for example: when the
teacher becomes angry in the class her facial expression that shows how angry
he/she is, and body posture give the student a sign to stop talking and sit well.
Third, nonverbal communication is the more trusted ********, but it can be
confusing. Although sometimes can be masked, and most of them are
spontaneous and perceived as more revealing.
Also nonverbal clues are
organized across cultures than others, for example: there are universal nonverbal
communication such as: facial expressions for some emotions as happiness ,
anger , fear, surprise, and so forth. On the other hand, there are some nonverba
l clues are taboo in some cultures but in others it is normal such as: closeness and
touchness. For instance, they show friendly in some cultures but in our culture their
show bad thing there are forbidden.
Fifth, nonverbal communication gives more
insight into emotional status. For instance, when something makes you funny you
will smile or laugh in a loud voice, depending upon the situation, but when you are
sad, your eyes will be fill with tears.
Finally, nonverbal communication is more
ambiguous than the words themselves. The ambiguity nature of nonverbal
communication cues results either intentional or unintentional. For example person
who smiles may intend to communicate a sense of friendliness, so when a receiver
interprets that smile in that way, we say the communication has taken place. But in
fact the person’s smile may have communication intent the person may have had a
random thought about something that happened with the man that day causes
him/her to smile.
